Just when I thought I was getting unlucky...

MANNES HERE I COME.

this morning at about 1215 as i was preparing to go to school for voice lesson, I dropped my hp on the floor and suddenly it just blanked out. It look me awhile to figure out how to open the back of the cover to take out the battery and put it back in and turn it back on. I only figured it out when I was in the train. =.= Note: my voice lesson was at 1300. THEN!!! I realised I had forgotten my vocal scores when I was already at the train station. I didn't have time to go back to the apt to get them so I needed to go to the school library to find the scores and Then zap them. It was already 1225. THEN!!! I had insufficient train fare and had to go buy a new metrocard. after rejecting my credit card a couple of times, I used my debit card. THEN!!! When I got to school, it was already 1255. I took the scores and zapped them and I also wanted to borrow the scores. AND THEN!!! It was already a little after 1pm. The librarian scanned my card and said I lost a book. So I said... no that's weird. I remember returning the book. THEN!!! She had to go and check if the book was there. That took another 3 mins. THEN!!! The book WAS there and she apologised. By the time I could leave, it was 1310. =.= and THEN!!! When I got to the classroom, DANG DANG DANG DANG!!! MY VOICE TEACHER WASN'T THERE! So i waited for her until 1340 and she still hadn't arrive. I was seriously starting to get worried as no one picked up the phone in her apartment after calling several times. and also cuz she's about 90 years old. I also called my accompanist who didn't turn up either. My accompanist returned my call at about 1340 and I found out from her that my voice teacher can be forgetful. Last week I told her I was sick and she waited an hour for me without calling me to ask where I was. and this week, she forgot to come. so. yup. this sums up my pathetic life in about an hour. Yes, mom and dad would prolly ask me to get outta the apt at about 7am so after the world comes crashing down on me, I will still have enough time to get to my voice lesson. on top of that, I lost one of my favourite earrings!!!! ARGH

Metrocard= mrt card

Flea market at 39th street between 9th and 10th ave.

WOW!!! I found this dim sum place pretty near my school!

I ordered egg tarts but at first bite, I started to wonder if they were really egg tarts. They were completely tasteless. Too little custard.

CHICKEN BAO!!! =.=" I think it was more like FLOUR bao. completely tasteless!!

I was sooo excited to see this!!! Looks like a real Char Siew Bao right?!?!

Eating this char siew bao brought me back to the zhu ge liang time when poor people could only afford to eat mantou with a little meat filling. Except this bao wasn't that cheap. =.= the char siew was tasteless.

The most edible dim sum was the har gaos.

Disappointingly, this piece of vegetable under the har gao tasted better than the char siew bao, chicken bao and the egg tarts. :(

The ladies beside my table ordered Singapore curry chow mein. =.=

complimentary fortune cookie and mango pudding. Oh did it clear my palette!
Moral of the story. There's always a price to pay for good dim sum. I guess I'll have to go allllll the way to chinatown and queue up and maybe share a table with someone just to get better dimsum.

FREE ITALIAN ICE!!!! anyone??
